That Rockwell was on to something….. I was finishing the design of the last collage and had decided that as the movie ‘My Winnipeg’ reminded me of early David Lynch, then his movies should appear in the picture…..this got narrowed down to just Twin Peaks and just a certain kind of remote smaller city isolation….and then Borges as of his ideas in his writing bluring fantasy and realism together…..Im also probably the only person ever to made an audible ‘fuck yes’ noise that made the other people on the table look up at me; cause I happened to come across a picture of Borges with a cat….and now i could make a Winnipeg via Weakerthans joke over the city motto image i had put in about the word Virtute……..(by the time i post im going to add links to all of these things so there is some kind of explanation of the tangent)……
I played Michael Jackson ‘Give In To Me’ at Curse and reminded me to go back and download more….one of them at random was a demo version of ‘Dangerous’…..I never really listened to that song, or care much that there even is a demo early version…..but left it playing while i was concentrating cutting out the bird from the Twin Peaks title sequence….listen to 5.35 onwards of the song……under the mix for the next 50 seconds is a sample of the Twin Peaks theme!!!……

A lot of different things have come out of making these and being productive in this way. It’s in turn making me learn technically more how to use things like photoshop and getting to be more able to recreate all the things i can think up has opened up a so many possibilities, learn about painting, resin and building, more aware of what im interested in and more noticing the country im in and motivations for doing things. As well as really appreciating other people and their talent….or maybe it’s also cause I am like how I am and changed my perceptions and responses to things that I am able to do this and enjoy it so much?
…or just a good timing coincidence of events….Like Michael Jackson demos and Twin Peaks title sequences…..
